Marla - Office Manager
Prior to joining our clinic in 2013, Marla spent many years helping people with their finances and supervising a team. Marla enjoys working with the computer systems and ensuring our data is accurate and organized. Marla maintains an efficient clinic and ensures our patients' receive the best possible experience. Marla enjoys getting to know the patients and helping them in any way she can.

Lamanda  - Receptionist 

Lamanda moved to Saskatoon from Moose Jaw in 2018 and brings to our clinic a positive attitude and many years of customer service experience. Lamanda is a proud mom of four who enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks, taking the kids to the park, swimming and movie nights.  

Anne - Receptionist

Anne joined us clinic in November of 2023 and enjoys helping all the patients have a great visit to our clinic. Anne is a wife and Mom to 2 grown boys. She enjoys hiking, camping, travelling and spending time with family and friends all while completing her bucket list.

Dempsie - Registered Dental Assistant

Dempsie is from Prince Albert. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2021 with a Certificate in Dental Assisting. She was inspired by a family member, who was in dentistry, to start her career in the dental field.

 

When not at work you will catch her at the lake swimming, fishing, or just tanning on the beach. She also loves her family and pets back home in PA, who she frequently visits. She also enjoys a good golf game (only when the UV’s are above 5). Crocheting is one of her many hobbies and she enjoys crocheting while curled up on the couch and watching a tv show. 

Allison - Registered Dental Assistant

Allison was born and raised in small town Sturgis, Saskatchewan. She recently graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Certificate in Dental Assisting.

 

As a child, she always loved going to the dentist as she found it fun and enjoyed the fact that her dentist took her picture every year... but in reality, she just liked the prize box! Since then, she has wanted to work in a dental office to help kids feel comfortable with being there and to learn all there is about the dental world.

Kyla - Registered Dental Assistant (currently on Maternity Leave)

Kyla knew she wanted to work in the dental field since she was 8 years old.  She grew up on a small acreage just north of Warman. Kyla has her Care Aid course and worked at a care home facility for many years prior to taking her RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) course. In her free time, Kyla loves fishing and snowmobiling at the lake with her friends and family.

Marta - Dental Aid

Marta has a degree in nursing and has extensive experience working as a dental nurse. While born and raised in Ukraine, Marta moved to Canada with her family and joined the Guardian Dental Care team in 2012. Marta never stops developing her professional skills and acquiring new knowledge. In addition to her nursing degree, Marta received a certificate in Phlebotomy after attending multiple courses in Saskatchewan Polytechnic in 2014. Her medical background and phlebotomy skills vastly contribute to a dental surgery practice.

 

As a dental aid, Marta is passionate about her work, and her priority is to provide high-quality dental care making patients feel comfortable and confident in the service they receive. In her spare time, Marta enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and playing with her sons.

Jessie - Registered Dental Hygienist

Jessie was born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Following high school graduation, she followed her sister, who was a clinical assistant, into the dental field. After working as a clinical assistant for 3 years, she decided to pursue a different field of work and was employed for three years as a pharmacy assistant. It was then she decided, she missed the dental field and went back to school to study dental hygiene. She graduated with a Dental Hygiene diploma with Great distinction in 2011.

Upon graduation, she moved to Edmonton, to begin her dental hygiene career. There she worked in a clinic which followed a more natural, biological approach to dentistry. She is excited to put the knowledge she learned at this clinic, into practice at Guardian Dental Care.

 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son and partner, working out at the gym, learning about nutrition and wellness and travelling to sunshine and beaches.

She is excited to see clients at Guardian Dental Care and help them achieve optimal oral health.

Cheryl - Registered Dental Hygienist

Cheryl's career in the dental field began in 1981. She worked as a Dental Therapist with the Saskatchewan Dental Plan for 6 years. In 1989, Cheryl graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist, and has worked with Dr. Knudsen since 2009. Away from work, Cheryl enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with her two adult children.

Candace - Registered Dental Hygienist

Candace very much enjoys her chosen profession. She started her dental journey as a dental assistant in 1989 in the Northern Dental Program. Candace to this day still enjoys the beauty of the Northern Lights. Candace returned to school and completed motherhood and a diploma in dental hygiene at the same time. Having twin boys in her first semester of school turned out to be a bit of a challenge.

 

Candace along with her BEST half Grant, have made Saskatoon their home. She believes your SMILE is your SUPERPOWER and she has traveled to other countries to help others with their smiles. Candace has volunteered in the Philipines, Vietnam ( 2 trips) and Nepal. Candace and her husband love to travel and explore. Candace loves her family, her pets, cooking and beautiful sunsets. TOOTHFULLY, Candace is very happy to be working with the Guardian Dental Care family.

Kristal - Dental Therapist/RDA

Kristal's dental career began at Sask Polytech Regina in 2000 as a Dental Assistant and quickly grew a passion for anything and everything related to teeth.

In 2005, she expanded her dental knowledge and abilities at the National School of Dental Therapy within the First Nations University in Prince Albert, SK. Providing dental treatment to community members of all ages was a rewarding dental and cultural experience for Kristal.

Away from the clinic, Kristal spends time with her husband, three kids, and two cats. The family enjoys fishing/ice fishing, boating, camping and swimming, mainly spending their time at Candle Lake during the summer months.

Eunice - Business Manager

Eunice has been with our clinic since 2018 and she assists us with recruitment, employee development, marketing, and business operations. She works closely with our Office Manager to improve our team and patient satisfaction. She provides additional support to Dr. Knudsen regarding clinic operations and helps find ways to to improve overall efficiency and team morale.
